Montfort Catering Consultants have been working with University of Greenwich and providing catering consultancy advice to them since 2016.

The University of Greenwich is one of the most respected, high quality universities in London and Kent, with a proud tradition that dates back more than 125 years.

The University has three outstanding campuses and a heritage of world-class research and technological innovation. It is home to a diverse and talented community of more than 21,000 students, with a further 2,540 staff.

The University’s campuses in south east London and Kent all offer modern, hi-tech facilities within magnificent and historic settings.

The largest campus is centred on the Old Royal Naval College in Royal Greenwich, at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, on the banks of the River Thames and next to Greenwich Royal Park.

The Avery Hill Camus in Eltham enjoys a parkland setting combining the grace of a Victorian mansion with modern living and teaching facilities.

The Medway Campus features redbrick Edwardian buildings in Chatham Maritime, Kent.

The catering outlets on campus provide a range of food offers, incorporating main meals, deli and salad bars, food to go, sandwiches, snacks and quality hot and cold beverages. Across the campus there are currently eight retail catering and dining outlets for students and staff, with some also open to the public.

In addition, there is a very busy hospitality requirement across the campus, providing for internal and external meetings, events, conferences, functions, as well as formal dining. Summer schools are a further important market and income stream.

University of Greenwich continues to invest significantly in its estate and in 2018 the Dreadnought building, located on the Greenwich Campus, opened following complete refurbishment. The ground floor catering outlet has provided a further 250 seats for dining. In addition, the basement houses a Student Union bar and dining space.

Additional consideration is also being given to introducing a catered hall meal plan within one of the University’s more recently newly built halls of residence.

We continue to support the University with further related catering consultancy support and advice.
