The Salisbury Museum

The Salisbury Museum, located in central Salisbury showcases the mediaeval Cathedral town of Salisbury and the ancient wonders of Stonehenge.

Salisbury Museum has exciting plans to transform the museum into a thriving cultural destination for the future, where people visit to discover and enjoy the story of the ancient city and the exceptional surrounding landscape. Visitors will be stimulated by a distinctive mix of world-class exhibitions, and will also visit to learn, relax and socialise.

The museum has been awarded initial support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for an exciting £4.4 million project to transform its displays and facilities.

The initial phase will also include improvements to the existing visitor catering / café, with the café relocated to a more prominent location within the museum in a later phase of the project.
