The Salisbury Museum, located in central Salisbury showcases the mediaeval Cathedral town of Salisbury and the ancient wonders of Stonehenge.

Salisbury Museum has exciting plans to transform the museum into a thriving cultural destination for the future, where people visit to discover and enjoy the story of the ancient city and the exceptional surrounding landscape. Visitors will be stimulated by a distinctive mix of world-class exhibitions, and will also visit to learn, relax and socialise.

The museum has been awarded initial support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for an exciting £4.4 million project to transform its displays and facilities.

The initial phase will also include improvements to the existing visitor catering / café, with the café relocated to a more prominent location within the museum in a later phase of the project.

Our Approach

Montfort Catering Consultants have undertaken a review of the existing café along with providing recommendations for improving the offer as well as wider operational considerations and future management advice. In addition our catering advice has included reviewing and developing the business plan including financial modelling to support the Round 2 National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) application.
