Brixton House – Levi Roots Collaboration

Montfort Consultants initially supported Brixton House with the development of an Food  & Beverage strategy followed by undertaking an expressions of interest exercise to attract and secure an exciting and relevant local entrepreneurial ‘food-hero’ to operate and manage its café bar and event catering. Following this, we undertook a more formal tender. Based upon our advice and work, a new food collaboration has just launched between The Joint (Brixton Market) and Levi Roots (of Reggae Reggae Sauce fame).

Brixton House opened to the public in 2022 and is one of London’s most exciting theatres. It provides a place for people to gather, explore creativity and ignite social change.

Brixton House – the new home of Ovalhouse – is a social enterprise that provides a welcoming hub of creativity, culture, collaboration and social gathering in the heart of one of London’s most popular and lively districts.

Building on a 60-year reputation for ambitious, brave and conscientious theatrical work in a flourishing, multi-cultural community, Brixton House attracts a diverse, world-class programme of artists to its breathtaking, state-of-the-art building that was designed by Edmund Wilson of Foster Wilson Architects.

Together, its two theatres, multiple exhibition/gallery space, seven multi-purpose studios and 26 affordable work spaces inside neighbouring Carlton Mansions, form a hub that is home to a new generation of creatives – all of whom benefit from the on-site café bar and catering services.

With a street-facing location, the café bar at Brixton House is a real focal point that’s integrated into the venue’s inspiring, publicly accessible front-of-house area.
