Cusworth Hall Museum & Park – Catering Options Appraisal & Feasibility Study

Montfort Catering Consultants have been appointed by Heritage Doncaster to undertake a catering options appraisal and feasibility study to determine the future visitor catering provision, including creating a compelling destination food and beverage offer for Cusworth Hall Museum & Park.

Located in acres of Parkland, Cusworth Hall is a Grade 1 listed building. The museum collections reflect the daily lives of people in Doncaster from the 18^th century to the present day. It is located 2 miles north of Doncaster and 1- 2 miles from the A1M.

Owned by the City of Doncaster and managed by Heritage Doncaster, Cusworth Park, surrounding Cusworth Hall, is open to the public every day of the year and is very popular for picnics, dog walks and family days out.

The recently restored 18th century Walled Garden has been selected by the Royal Horticultural Society to join its prestigious partner garden scheme.

The current visitor food and beverage provision includes Butler’s Tea Room & Bistro serving meals, snacks and drinks and the Old Brewhouse, a microbrewery and bar, in the original brewhouse.

A museum renewal fund was awarded to the City of Doncaster and is contributing to plans to strengthen the site’s position as a popular visitor attraction, enabling an expansion to the programme of activities, expanding volunteering opportunities and exploring the possibilities for the Bothy, one of the oldest buildings in the park.

While the scope of works takes in the whole estate, the main focus has been on the Bothy as well as consideration to events with catering.
