Hackney Empire is seeking an experienced entrepreneurial food & beverage operator for the Empire Bar space. This dual aspect location with prominent street frontage has the potential to be developed in to an enticing food and drink offer that will be a destination in its own right. Situated adjacent to the main theatre entrance, the location benefits from direct access on to Mare Street, with its high pedestrian footfall, as well as Wilton Way, which has proved a popular location for outside eating and drinking.

The Empire Bar, a versatile space that has worked well as a café, bar and restaurant is perfectly situated to serve more than 100,000 audience members who visit each year for over 120 events and the annual Christmas pantomime, as well as serving the local community and the 5,000 local Council employees who are right on the doorstep.

Hackney Empire is inviting proposals from experienced entrepreneurial individuals and organisations able to capitalise on the prime location of the Empire Bar at Hackney Empire. We welcome creative ideas from caterers, café, restaurant, street food, event and bar operators, to operate under a multi-year concession service agreement. Consideration will be given to new concepts as well as established brands.

It should be noted that there is no requirement to retain the Empire Bar name and that rebranding is possible.
