Independent London caterer Graysons has scooped a three-year, multimillion-pound contract with the University of Greenwich to deliver student and staff dining at the Greenwich and Medway campuses from 28 August.

The contract also comprises a public high street café and the summer school in Greenwich, as well as all internal hospitality and events.

Emma Bull, head of business development for Graysons, said: “This is a hugely proud moment for everyone at Graysons. The student demographic is fantastic to engage with, and to partner with an institution with such shared culture and ethos around all things CSR is incredible.”

Barry Palmer, head of catering for the University of Greenwich, added: “We are delighted to welcome Graysons into what promises to be an impactful and exciting partnership. With our enduring desire to innovate and enhance the student experience, and to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030, Graysons became an obvious choice as the tender process developed.”

Graysons specialises in the management of events venues as well as workplace restaurants and hospitality suites, and has around 50 sites in its portfolio. It was formed in 2008 by Sir Francis Mackay. The group recently added two new contracts to its events venue portfolioin quick succession, worth £6m in turnover over the next five years: Painters’ Hall and the Farmers & Fletchers in the City of London.
