The university has three outstanding campuses and a heritage of world-class research and technological innovation. It is home to a diverse and talented community of more than 21,000 students, with a further 2,540 staff.
The university’s campuses in south east London and Kent all offer modern, hi-tech facilities within magnificent and historic settings.
The catering outlets on campus provide a range of food offers, incorporating main meals, deli and salad bars, food to go, sandwiches, snacks and quality hot and cold beverages. Across the campus there are currently seven retail catering and dining student and staff outlets, some of which are also open to the public.
In addition, there is a very busy hospitality requirement across the campus, providing for internal and external meetings, events, conferences, functions, as well as formal dining. Summer schools are a further important market and income stream.
University of Greenwich continues to invest significantly in its estate and in 2018 the Dreadnought building, located on the Greenwich Campus, will open following complete refurbishment. The ground floor will include a further catering outlet, providing in the region of 250 seats for dining. In addition, the basement will house a Student Union bar and dining space.
Additional consideration is also being given to introducing a catered hall meal plan within one of the university’s more recently newly built halls of residence.
