Nowt Stranger than Customer Research – Leeds Brewery Asks Customers to Vote for Their Favourite Beer

If you are seeking approval for a new business initiative from colleagues and clients or are launching a new product in the commercial marketplace, you will most certainly be more successful winning their approval and custom if you engage with your stakeholders and customers from the beginning.

After 189 years, Tetley Brewery in Leeds will be closing the doors for the last time this month. To mark the occasion and celebrate becoming the city’s largest brewery, Leeds Brewery has developed three beers and are asking customers to vote for their favourite. The winning beer will be announced at the ‘Goodbye Tetley’s’ beer festival on June 10th and released on general sale to commemorate Tetley’s departure. Along with selecting their favourite brew, customers are invited to suggest a name for the new beer. Leeds Brewery has promised that the more suggestions received the cheaper the first pint will be.

Knowing your customers’ needs when launching a new product or initiative is key; involving them in the process will engender loyalty and even greater success.
