Claridge’s Named London’s Best Venue for Afternoon Tea

Well done to Claridge’s for recently being voted London’s best venue for afternoon tea by the Tea Guild. The competition now in its 26th year assesses criteria including variety, flavour and staff knowledge of the teas offered, with points also awarded or deducted for quality of food, service, decor, ambience and presentation.

The Wolseley on Piccadilly remains one of our favourites and is arguably still good value for money for that special occasion or celebration. We are therefore very much looking forward to the opening of Chris Corbin and Jeremy King’s new sister restaurant to the Wolseley. Due to open in autumn 2011, this new European style brasserie will occupy the space previously taken by Bank restaurant on the corner of Kingsway and Aldwych.
