Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company, performing in around 35 towns, cities and villages across Scotland every year as well as their mainstage venues Theatre Royal, Glasgow; Festival Theatre, Edinburgh; Her Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen; and Eden Court, Inverness.

In 2014 a four-year project to transform the public spaces at Theatre Royal Glasgow was completed providing a new foyer space with café, new bars, heritage display, education rooms, hosting suites, rooftop terrace and box office. The project, costing £13m, was focused on creating a transformational experience for audiences, encouraging wider community engagement and building a sustainable business for the future.

Montfort Catering Consultants have been working with Scottish Opera, undertaking a review of their café, catering and bars at Theatre Royal, Glasgow to determine future potential food and beverage opportunities to be provided at the theatre. This has included undertaking a detailed environmental analysis; a review of the catering; determining future catering demand and financial potential along with developing concept options and recommendations.
